ATTENTION VISTA DEL MAR PARENTS AND CITIZENS OF SAN CLEMENTE!

We are part of the South County Education Coalition, which comprises Capo USD representatives & Saddleback Valley USD representatives. We have created a "Pink Slip" campaign directed to legislators, and timed to coincide with March 14 (March 15 is a Saturday), the day that teachers will actually be receiving their pink slips (notice of possible termination).

Attached are three "Notice of Termination" letters addressed to our legislators to communicate our feelings about this layoff and the proposed suspension of Prop. 98. As you will see, these are addressed to the Governor, plus two state officials that represent San Clemente.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. PLEASE print out these notices on PINK paper (VERY IMPORTANT)
  2. Sign your NAME, and write your ADDRESS on them.
  3. Return to us Either:
    1. FRIDAY, MARCH 7th in FRONT OF VISTA DEL MAR between 2:00 PM - 3:15 PM
    2. MONDAY, MARCH 10th in FRONT OF VISTA DEL MAR between 7:50 AM - 8:30 AM
    3. Return to 24 CALLE FRUTAS (Escala). Please PUT IN THE MAILBOX before NOON on THURSDAY, MARCH 13th.

VdM PTA volunteers will also have copies of the Pink Slips for parents to sign on March 7th and March 10th in front of VDM. Pink Slips have been issued by CUCPTSA and the Education Coalition.
